The Finance Department is responsible for the oversight of all County accounting functions. The department is directly responsible for the preparation of payroll; maintenance of employee payroll records; payments to vendors for goods and services; disbursement of agency funds and maintenance of general ledger records. Other responsibilities include preparation and reporting of financial information to the Board of Commissioners; coordinating the County’s annual financial audit; budget coordination, preparation and oversight; internal auditing; responding to public inquires; and statutory reporting. This department also assists in the cost efficient operation of County departments and programs.
