Information - Military Discharge (DD-214)
After
discharge from the military, veterans place their military
discharge papers or DD214 on file
with the County Clerk’s Office, in the county in which
they reside. The Clerk’s Office will maintain a list of
all DD-214’s on file. Veterans' can come into the office
during working hours and request copies of their DD-214 papers.
Military discharges (DD-214) are NOT
public records and can only be obtained by the individual (with
proper ID), family member with a death certificate, or the funeral
home.
