Rawson's King Mill County Park located just outside of Leonidas on King Road is a perfect setting for an outdoor wedding. With three waterfalls, two islands, expansive gardens and the historic mill, Rawson’s King Mill County Park presents an idyllic setting for your special day. Recent improvements to the mill and grounds will surely enhance your wedding experience.

 

Wedding / Rehearsal Reservation Fees

  • Fee for reserving the park: $750 + $150 deposit (deposit refundable)

 

Wedding Reservation Features

  • Wedding capacity is 200 people
  • Private use of the beautiful grounds
  • Use of the historic mill with private restrooms is available to the wedding party prior to the ceremony
  • Use of a white, vinyl pergola situated on exposed aggregate concrete behind the historic mill with Nottawa Creek serving as the backdrop provides a perfect setting for the ceremony
  • Use of a recently installed exposed aggregate reception patio behind the historic mill
  • Use of two white, vinyl gazebos
  • Use of pavilion
  • 200 white folding chairs
  • Electricity is available as well as a back-up generator

 

Wedding Reservation Guidelines

  • Beer and wine are permitted if brought in by individuals (no alcohol vendors). However, a special-use permit must be obtained from St. Joseph County Parks and Recreation Department prior to the wedding day
  • No staples, pins, nails, etc. on park structures. Please use tape or wire for attaching items to park structures
  • Set-up and clean-up must be completed the day of the wedding
  • Tents or other special decorations must be approved by St. Joseph County Parks and Recreation
  • Rawson’s King Mill County Park is available from dawn to dusk
