| Position
Summary: |
| Under
the direction of the County Controller/Administrator, administers
the County’s human resources and employee relations programs,
and provides management direction and oversight to the County’s
purchasing program. Develops policy and procedures to respond
to changing labor and personnel laws. Oversees the employment
selection process and ensures a competitive compensation and
benefits program is maintained. Participates in contract negotiations
and ensures that contracts are administered appropriately. Provides
training and assistance to department managers and employees
on personnel related matters. Provides assistance to the County
Controller/Administrator in a variety of administrative
functions. |

Qualifications: |
| Education: |
Bachelor’s
Degree in human resources management or in business or
public administration with coursework in personnel administration.
|
| Experience: |
Four
years of experience in county government or related
setting with responsibility for personnel administration.
|
| Certification/
Licensure: |
A
valid drivers license to drive in the State of Michigan
is required. |
