Community Corrections: Community Service Resources

One of the following must be true to qualify as a community service worksite:

  • Government affiliation – such as a police department, city/township office, animal control, parks and recreation, library, public schools.
  • Non-profit agency – such as Goodwill, Salvation Army.
  • Charitable organization – Free stores, food bank, churches.


Completion of hours through online programs, even if the website says courts will accept the hours, is not permitted. Any hours completed in this manner will not count.
