Community Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services
Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services of St. Joseph County provides mental health and substance abuse services for adults, children and families with mental illness, developmental disabilities and serious emotional impairment residing in St. Joseph County. The agency employs master level therapists trained in evidenced based practices; including Parent Child Interaction, trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies. Early childhood services are a specialty area with certified infant mental health specialists; in addition we employ a board certified Child Psychiatrist. Outpatient mental health, case management, medication management, crisis intervention and inpatient hospitalization for all ages can be coordinated through our agency. Clubhouse activities, Community Living Supports, Employment services and respite are also available. Substance Abuse programs are available for individuals including families and children. We are a CARF accredited facility as well as certified by the Michigan Department of Community Health. The agency is a licensed child placing agency and provides treatment foster care in our county. Three Rivers Dental Clinic
These clinics are designed to serve Medicaid patients, including those with MIChild and Healthy Kids Dental, or patients that are uninsured and financially qualify for the Michigan Community Dental Plan. Clients who are on WIC or food stamps financially qualify automatically as patients.
