The Juvenile Division of the Family Court handles various types of cases, including:
 
Juvenile delinquency - offenses committed by youth under 17 years of age
Status offenses: i.e., incorrigibility, runaway, truancy
Neglect / Abuse: cases involving the neglect and/or abuse of children under 18 years of age
Personal protection cases
 
Judge Thomas E. Shumaker presides over the Juvenile and Protective Division of the Family Court, and the Circuit Judge is Paul Stutesman. Judge Shumaker also handles other types of cases as well as being the Probate Judge.

The Court office is in the Courts Building on the second floor on the west side. After clearing court security, it can be reached by stairs or an elevator. The building is 125 W. Main Street in the Centreville Village Square on M-86.

This Court has a video courtroom, so if you have a hearing scheduled and bring a blank tape, we will record the hearing for you. You can also order a copy of the hearing at a later date for a charge of $25.00.
